How do I get troops?

Clans buy troops in battles, out of the plinks in their clan plink account. Details of how to purchase troops can be found on the Battles Quick Guide Page.

Can individual players buy troops or is it only clans?

Currently only clans can buy troops.

What is the battle window?

The battle window is the pre defined time during which attacking territories is permitted.

Who controls troops movements in battles?

The permissions for various action types in a battle are set in the Settings tab on the clan's page by the clan leaders.

How long does it take to move troops?

The time it takes to move troops will be dependant on the amount of troops being moved and weather the move is over land or sea. If they are bing moved over sea then the physical distance of the sea route will pay a large role in the calculation. See Moving Troops Page for more details.

Can I cancel an attack before it arrives at an enemy territory?

No. Once you send troops to a territory you cannot alter their orders. This is to prevent players constantly launching fake attacks.

Can I retreat from an attack?

Yes. However not until several rounds of combat have occured. When you retreat you also lose a percentage of the troops.

What happens if I attack the same territory from two separate locations?

Upon arrival at a territory you are attacking, your forces will be combined with any other forces you have in the territory.

What happens if I supply troops to one of my territories but an enemy has taken over the territory by the time they arrive?

Upon arrival, your troops will attack the enemy army present in the territory.

What happens if my attack arrives outside the battle window?

Your troops will still attack the defending army upon arrival.

Are all territories the same?

Not necessarily. Before a battle begins each territory is given a defensive modifier to make it easier or harder to defend. Sometimes all territories will have the same defensive modifiers, other times they will vary from territory to territory. Also each territory may give a different reward for holding it. Movement between all territories connected by land is the same regardless of their physical size.

Will I get banned if I make an agreement with another clan and then break it?

No, absolutely not. Clans are free to make and break any deals they wish with other clans. However breaking a deal may reduce your credibility when dealing with other clans if they find out.

What is the difference between Primary and Secondary Objectives?

To win the battle you must complete the Primary Objective. Secondary objectives generally give some battle specific benefit to the clan completing it.

What happens if the time runs out and no one has completed the Primary Objective?

The clan with the most territories will win.

What happens if I lose all my troops?

You are eliminated from the battle and you cannot rejoin.

Do I stand a chance if I only have a small clan?

Yes of course. You may have to use more diplomatic skills, possibly form alliances with other clans, and your members may have to be a little more dedicated, but you can certainly make a difference even if your not a big clan. The price of troops will raise as you buy more and more troops so big clans will be able to buy extra troops initially but not as many as you may expect. As the battle goes on, prizes from secondary objectives and the bonuses you get from holding territories will become a more important factor in the balance of power.

Do I keep my troops when the battle ends?

No, all troops bought in a battle are committed to that battle.
