- How much does it cost to put FBG on my server?Nothing, FBG is absolutely free to run on your server.
- How do I register my server with FBG?FBG no longer requires servers to be manually registered to run FBG. Simply go to the
FBG Plugin page and install it on your server. This will automatically register your server with FBG and have it running after you restart the server.
- What are the requirements to have FBG on my server?You must not be running any of the following mods:
- Zombie
- Gungame
- Deathmatch
- RPG
- WCS
Not any of the following type of maps:
- Surf
- Deathrun
- Mini Games
- Hosties
- Jail
- Bunnyhop
- Climb
- Trikz
Your server must not be password protected (public, anyone can join freely at all times), and VAC secured.
Servers must also be a minimum of 12 slots.
To have ingame messages coming back from FBG to tell players when they are awarded a medal, plink earnings etc you will need any one of the following mods:
- Mani Admin Plugin
- EventScripts
- FBG Plugin: Standalone or Metamod version
- Beetles mod
- Do I need any mods or plugins on my server to run FBG?FBG will run on your server without any mods installed but to return messages to players ingame you will need one of the following plugins installed:
- Mani Admin Plugin
- EventScripts
- FBG Plugin: Standalone or Metamod version
- Beetles mod
- How does FBG interact with my server?FBG will send a command to your server requesting it directs a stream of data to our web server containing a log of events occurring ingame such as players killing one another. This is a feature built into the Counter Strike Source engine.
Our web server will use this data stream to create the stats you see on the website. If the data stream contains FBG commands coming from players (e.g. a player typing !uid in chat) these will be recognized and the appropriate response will be sent back to the player.
- Why do you need my server’s rcon?There are two main functions FBG uses your server’s rcon for. The first is to tell your server where to direct the events log, allowing us to read who’s killing who on your server. The second use is to send messages back to players on your server letting them know when they earn medals, plinks, badges and to allow us to reply to ingame commands they may use such as !stats or !uid.
- What is the FBG Server Control Panel?The
FBG Server Control Panel gives server owners control over how FBG interacts with their server as well as allowing for new map submissions and updating of the rcon we have stored for your server.
- How do I update my server details?Most of your server details can be updated in the
FBG Server Control Panel.
- How do I get a map recognized by FBG?A link to submit a map for recognition can be found in the
FBG Server Control Panel. If you are not a server owner and so have no control panel, you may
opening a support ticket.
- How do I change my server IP?To change your server IP please
open a support ticket stating your old IP and new IP and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
- End of map medals are not being awarded, what should I do?If the end of map medals are not being awarded and fbg does not respond to your server for a while after a map change then make sure you do not have "log off" in your server.cfg file. If you do change this to "log on".
- How do I remove FBG from our server?FBG can be disabled on your server from the
FBG Server Control Panel.
- I don’t have FBG admin control panel access for my server, what should I do?Please contact our support team by
opening a support ticket.
Please include the full server IP, Port and rcon (as proof of identity)
- It says "We already know about an approved server with the specified IP and port" when I try to register my server, what should I do?This is because the previous owner of the server had it registered here on FBG. To re-register the server to your name, you need to
open a support ticket including full server details (IP, Port, RCon Password, the admin plugin you are running etc..)
